Are procedures (such as laser, surgery, cosmetic) preformed at the initial appointment?

No. All new patients require an initial consultation (meaning no procedures are carried out) to enable Dr. Tan to evaluate and examine the skin, diagnose any issues and ultimately, plan and discuss in detail possible treatment methods.

What should I bring with me to my initial appointment?

• Current insurance card
• Photo ID
• Co-payment or other amount that is due at visit
• Quarters for parking meters if driving

Can I pay with a credit card?

Yes. Dr. Tan’s office accepts American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard®, Visa®

Some other notes:

If your insurance plan requires a referral from your primary care physician for coverage of dermatological appointments, please call your PCP as early as possible to request this, for many offices require at least a week to process referral requests. Dr. Tan’s office requires all necessary referrals to be in place before a patient’s appointment.

Please be aware that per our office policy, all missed appointments or appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice incur a $50 fee.
